This booking met our expectations in every way! The house is near-new construction and, as such, almost no wear and tear. House was quiet, private, open, bright and spacious. Views to Camel's Hump and other mountains. We were there for a ski week and the post-ski showers/bath were hot and reliable. We also were there during the winter Olympics, so the huge flat-screen in the basement was a special bonus. Although the house is not in Stowe township, the drive to the ski area was only about 25 minutes. Grocery shopping at Shaw's was just a 10 minute drive, as well as restaurants in Waterbury. Despite an 8-inch snowfall on our last night, the roads and driveway were cleared efficiently. The host also accommodated a small special request graciously. The ONLY tiny suggestion I would make is to add some sort of heat source in the basement. There was no thermostat that we could find. It's a slight inconvenience we solved with extra blankets. Overall an excellent stay.

Fantastic location to easily walk to trail to get down to base of the mountain. Easy return trail as well. Would also highly recommend taking a short walk down to Mother Stuffers for a sandwich.

Tom’s place was perfect! Comfortable to come home to after a day on the slopes. His place is very convenient to the slopes. Loved being able to access the slopes right from his place. Will definitely rent again!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Waitsfield. The house was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with a large central kitchen and living space that made it easy for everyone to gather together. The three bedrooms all had very comfortable beds, and the kitchen was well-appointed with everything we needed to prepare meals during our stay. The lower-level family room was a huge hit in the evenings — the ping pong and foosball tables made for great hangout time after a full day out. The location couldn’t have been better. Situated just before the intersection of Route 100 and Route 9, it’s extremely convenient to both Mad River Glen and Sugarbush, as well as restaurants, shopping, and Lawson’s in the central Waitsfield area. It made getting around simple and stress-free. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Mad River Valley.

This is our third time staying at this house with our family of 5. The house continues to exceed expectations. Everything we need is at the house, and it is comfortable for everyone.

Our stay at Tom’s place was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautifully appointed and just the right fit for our holiday gathering. The master suite is impeccable and was a wonderful oasis for my parents. My brother and his adult boys were equally as well situated in the guest rooms. It was a treat to have so may ways to keep our crew entertained with the games, skee-ball and air hockey in the basement alongside video entertainment and warming console. And the kitchen and main living and gathering space were perfect for a group! Beautiful views, a snow-filled holiday, pristine garage to keep the cars and more amenities than we could enjoy in our visit were a few more highlights. We will be back! Thank you, Tom!

Great location with views of the mountains in a quiet neighborhood. Beds very comfortable, kitchen fitted out well, lots of relaxation areas. Highlight was the basement games room, which was super fun. Helpful to have private garage for parking out of the snow. Short drive to village and ski area. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Exactly as pictured. Clean with clear directions. Well equipped kitchen with all the tools to prep and cook (renters need to bring cooking oil, coffee filters and spices). Cool washer/dryer combo -we didn’t use but good to know it’s there with detergent. Easy access to ski Sugarbush. We popped back in for lunch. Great communication from owner during our stay. Would go back.

I rate most places 5 stars, but this is the first home that I genuinely felt was worth the rating. Wow, wow. This house looks exactly like the photos and had plenty of old charm. We loved the fireplace and moved the TV near it so we could enjoy both. It was perfect for snowy nights! A couple warnings: the driveway up is steep! Make sure you have 4WD in snow or rain. And the staircase inside is also older and steep—anyone with mobility issues will probably want another Airbnb. For us, though, it was perfect! Thank you for hosting, Tom! The beds were comfortable and we genuinely felt so at-home the whole time. Don’t pass this place by!

We really enjoyed our stay with friends at this sweet mountain cottage! It was cozy and comfortable and so close to great restaurants and shops in Waterbury... and easy drive to other nice Vermont towns.
